Let me cite the reason for the title "NATURE CULTURE". On 21st June 2007 while i was heading back to my home from office, my eyes were glancing through 'Viveka Sampadha', a Kannada quarterly, maintained by 'Divine Park'. I came across an article on 'Prakruthi mathu Samskruthi'(Nature & Culture) written by Dr Chandrashekha Udupa. I was grasped in the inherent meaning of the subject and the simplicity with which it was explained. It talked about the raw Nature and the sofisticated human woven culture -
'wood - furnitures'; 'stone - sculptures'; 'land/forest - agriculture'; 'cotton - clothes'; 'rivers - dams for irrigation/electricity'; 'paddy - rice'; 'brawn - dance'; 'scream - singing'; '
This whole relation between nature and culture is beautifully epitomized in this one line:
- "Its natural to quench ones own hunger but only with culture one can quench others hunger"
"Salutations to my parents - my apparent gods, to whom all my works are dedicated."
Welcome to my world!!!
In this blog I am planning to capture my thoughts in the electronic cages(a.k.a posts).
Have a look at them and please feed me with your comments.
Wishing you all the best for your endeavours.
